Texas Diablos Baseball

The Texas Diablos Baseball team was a Select team playing at the Texas School of Baseball and the Texas Star.. They come from Wise County. Our first season to play Select Baseball was in the fall of 1999.. They show much promise for the future. We played some very good teams.

THE SPRING SEASONS ARE ALMOST HERE!!

So far on the season we have a record of 19-12-1.

Sunday 5/21 The Diablos faced the Coppell Cowboys and won by a score of 11-5. Garrett Burk pitched great 3 innings shutting out the Cowboys. Wesley Clingman came in in relief, and while he pitched well, errors in the field allowed runs to score. We had 10 hits.
Monday 5/22 we faced the Scorpions; we were slow to hit the ball, and against a team that hits as well as the Scorpions we needed to play better. We had 3 errors in the field and a pair of umpires that need to go back to school and learn the game of baseball over again. They were the same umpires we had when playing the Storm the last time, and in all the years I have participated in Baseball I have never seen a more obvious display of partiality. Even though we didn't play well, we could have made it a closer game without the intervention of the umpire. The final score was 6-3, and this time we lost.
