Drafting and Turning in Lineups
Our annual draft will be held probably
on a Saturday afternoon. The draft will porbably take 2 to 3 hours but
will move along quicker if everyone has a list of their top players
per position prepared. Each franchise's roster must consist of 16 players
in the following positions: 2 QBs, 4 WRs, 4 RBs, 2 TEs, 2 Ks and 2 Team
Defenses. Draft order is "serpentine". Round 1: Team 1-10,
Round 2: Team 10-1, Round 3: Team 1-10 etc.
Starting lineups must submitted 1 hour
before kickoff of the weeks FIRST game. Lineups may be posted on the
league messageboard, e-mailed to me or phoned in. I will allow last
minute changes provided you notify both me and your opponent via phone/answer
machine at least 10 minutes before kickoff. I will try to notify everyone
ahead of time when there is a Thursday night game, so you can turn in
your ENTIRE lineup before the weeks first game. If you forget to turn
in your lineup by that time, then you don't get to play that player
for that Thursday game. If there are NO Thursday or Saturday games,
then your lineup is due by Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. Pacific time.
PLEASE NOTE: The sooner you turn in your lineups,
the sooner I will be able to update the Line Ups page. I'm sure a lot
of you like to watch the games on Sunday and keep track of how your
team is doing and how the team you are playing against is doing. Well,
the sooner you turn in your lineups, you will be able to find out who
you are playing against. The final rule for turning in lineups
is this: If you DO NOT turn in a lineup by Sunday morning, your lineup
will be the same as it was the previous week.
Competition
League standings are based on
wins and losses, with total team points serving as a Tiebreaker for
the playoffs.
Each week, team owners submit a
starting lineup, and compete head to head with another MFFL team. Every
team will play every other team at least once and some twice chosen
randomly.
MFFL teams score fantasy points
based on the performance statistics of the NFL players on their roster.
The team whose starters score more fantasy points wins the match up.
Playoffs and Margarita Bowl III
The teams that make the playoffs are
as follows: The top team in each division and two more Wild Card teams
from either of the division. Conceivably three teams could come from
one division if they have the better overall records. The first week
of the playoffs is Week 15. The two division winners are seeded first
and second according to record and will each play a wild card team also
determined by record. The winners will then play the Margarita Bowl
in week 16 of the NFL season.
Transactions: Trading and Signing Free
Agents
Any NFL player not listed on
the roster of a MFFL team is considered a free agent. One player must
be waived for each free agent signed. Waived players become eligible
free agents the following week. The transaction fee for signing free
agents is $5 per player added.
In the event that two or more owners
request the same free agent during a week BEFORE Wednesday at 6 pm,
the team with the poorer record has priority. After Wednesday of the
week the first team to request a certain player can add them immediately.
Trades between franchise owners
are permitted when agreed upon by both owners involved. The commissioner
has final veto power if a trade seems overwhelming unbalanced and might
effect the integrity of the league. No trades are permitted after week
8, but free agents may still be purchased up to and including the playoffs.
There will a $5 Transaction fee for each player traded.
NFL players on the rosters of MFFL
teams that have been eliminated from making the MFFL playoffs, may not
be waived, or in any way made available to MFFL playoff teams.
Prize Money Allocation
All franchise owners will pay a Franchise
Fee of $50.
The following is how the prize money
will be allocated:
Semifinal Loser #1: $50.00
Semifinal Loser #2: $50.00
Finals Runner Up: $100.00
Fantasy Champion: $300.00 + Transaction Money
That's about it! If you have any questions
that were not answered on this page, please feel free to email me. I
may have inadvertently left something off. Otherwise goodluck in the
league!
