GO http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Base/3668/coloseum/mi.html Dear Ralph and Barbara,     I had an email this morning from Sandra Keller. Addie Parmelia Hudson Blomberg has passed away at Marquette this past weekend. I did not know if you were aware or might like to know. I found this obituary this morning and have included it just in case you would like to have it.     I am sorry to pass sad news through email. Linda McPherson Centinet March 15, 2004 Addie P. Hudson Blomberg MARQUETTE -- Addie P. Hudson Blomberg, 99, of Marquette, died March 13, 2004. She was born Jan. 30, 1905 to Jessey and Amy (Richards) Hudson at Brookville, Kan. In 1906, the family moved to Seattle, Wash. In 1910, they returned to Kansas to settle near Falun. Addie attended Dry Creek Grade School, then Falun and Marquette High Schools. After her high school graduation in 1924, she taught at a country school north of Falun known as the Englund School. Addie and George L. Blomberg were married on Sept. 7, 1927 at Ellsworth. To this union were born two children, Verla Lou and Merlyn George. Addie and George lived on the Blomberg family farm southwest of Falun until George's death on Oct. 21 1974. In December 1974, she moved to Marquette. Addie was an active member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church until it was disbanded in 1943. The family then became members of the Marquette Covenant Church. She taught Sunday school classes for many years, was an officer of Covenant Women, and served on the church board. She was a good neighbor, often taking children from the neighborhood to Sunday school. She enjoyed making quilts. She made them for her children and grandchildren, and for several years made a baby quilt for each new baby from Marquette.
