Club information.

Burntwood tae-kwon-do train at chase town high school, burntwood, Staffordshire, England, Great Britain.

Training times

Tuesday evening at 7.00-8.00pm for beginner students, and 8.00-9.00pm for senior grades

Thursday evening at 7.00-8.00pm for beginner students, and 8.00-9.00pm for senior grades

 

Tuition

We are proud to be instructed by Mr. Sean Hardwick, a third Dan black belt who is also ranked in the top ten world sparring champions.

We have a well-attended sparring class that is producing some very good t.a.g.b. Style fighters, some of which hold various titles.

Sparring titles to date.

 All fighters fought extremely well, and other students of mention were, Stephen heritage, who had two very close fights, Elaine Dennis again having two close fights but eventually bowed out too the winner of the tournament, Darren hackett went three rounds also going out to the winner of the tournament in the fourth, mark France fighting well in the first sustained an injury to his foot not being able to carry on!
Also other fighters of mention were Caroline and Joanne Perkins, Jamie and Barry bier, Alan beaman and Phil gittins.
After the singles, the fighters all teamed up to put on a great performance, narrowly missing out on team titles!!!
English open 01.04.00
Another extremely well turned out tournament seeing over 4000 student in attendance, with eighteen of the burntwood students traveling a good distance to Bristol and bringing back six well placed medals in: -

Neil white, silver lightweight medal Darren hackett, silver heavyweight medal Elaine Dennis, bronze lightweight medal Nathan Dennis, bronze pee wee boys medal Lindsey burn, bronze lightweight medal Sean hardwick, bronze blackbelt heavy weight medal

All fights were of a high standard and showing good technical ability, again all students coming close to medal positions.
