Welcome to the home page for the...
The Governor General's Foot Guards are an infantry reserve unit in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Every September the hockey team reunites after a long summer of inactivity (for some) to participate in the Ottawa South Men's Hockey League all winter long and to prepare for the annual Sgt. Rick Foldeak Memorial Tournament, competing against other Army reserve units from the Ottawa District.
While the Governor General's Foot Guards (GGFG) are an infantry unit and are well known for participating in the Changing of the Guard on Parliament Hill, in Ottawa Canada, we do manage to field a successful hockey team yearly.
The team consists of members of all ranks from the regiment, including officers and non-commissioned members.
