Fr. Kurt's Homepage
Welcome to my little corner of the web. I've had some experience on websites like Ciao, Authorsden, Epinions, Themestream, Pearlsoup and other places, and while all have had advantages and disadvantages for the online writer, ultimately it was time to carve out my own space.
Many of the articles and writings that are on this site (and shall appear over the course of the next few years) have been previously published on other site, so if something looks familiar, don't be surprised. However, I shall be updating and revising as I go along, so hopefully you will find something of interest in my offerings here.
Among my writings you will find personal reflections, academic papers, professional reviews, poetry, creative writing pieces, and some pieces that defy easy categorisation. The site is under constant construction, so please check back soon. If you would like to be notified when new pieces are posted, please email me here.

Who is Fr. Kurt?
I've had the good fortune in my life to have many interesting experiences and know many wonderful people. Owing to my father's career with the military, I travelled quite a bit from the beginning. I have studied political science, religious studies, Jewish studies, astronomy, mathematics, philosophy and history in North America and Europe, and am continuing my education at seminary in Indiana.
I am currently the chaplain at Bell Trace Senior Living Community in Bloomington, Indiana, where I conduct weekly services and Bible studies in addition to providing ministry of presence and pastoral care. I am in my fourth year of service there.
I am a priest in the Anglican/Old Catholic tradition. You can see pictures of my ordination here.
I have worked in different administrative and teaching positions positions at Christian Theological Seminary, Ivy Tech State College Bloomington, Indiana University, School-to-Career, Bibliogem Software Development Company, and General Business Systems. I served for three years in Parliament as a researcher, legal assistant, office manager and campaign assistant.
I work regularly with the local and state literacy programmes, and have served on the local, regional and national boards of church and nonprofit organisations related to homelessness, hunger, poverty, social justice, and ministry issues.
I am open to offers for freelance writing, so if you would like to engage my services, feel free to email me. I am also seeking full-time and part-time employment as with church, nonprofit and educational institutions. If you would like to see my resume for a position you have open, please contact me here.
