Other chapter assignments will be announced shortly. Reminder: Homework is due at 5:30 p.m. on the date indicated. As some of you have discovered (or will soon discover), anything passed in later than 5:30 p.m. on the due date cannot receive full credit. |
Most homework assignments are 5 points per chapter. Total homework points may exceed the 50 points shown on the syllabus. Excess points are optional/bonus points (in fact, the first two assignments are "bonus" assignments). Then again, you'd be crazy not to do the homework for each chapter. The assigned problems will be good practice for the quizzes and final exam, and are a good test of your problem-solving skills. And who knows, you might need the extra points to make up for points missed on the quizzes. So DO the homework. I'll make every effort to grade each chapter's homework before the quiz covering that chapter, so you can monitor your learning level.
Late homework is accepted and you are encouraged to submit it. Homework submitted late will be graded, will count (with appropriate late penalties), but will not necessarily be graded before the quizzes. Minimum score for late HW will be 1 point per assignment.
