THE LAMBDA SIGMA ZETA HOMEPAGE!!!!!
Welcome to the Lambda Sigma Zeta homepage. Lambda Sigma is a national honorary for sophmore college students. Dedicated to fostering leadership, scholarship, fellowship, and the spirit of service, Lambda Sigma was founded in 1922 at the University of Pittsburgh and currently includes 38 chapters from all over the United States. This includes the Zeta chapter of Muskingum College which is located in picturesque New Concord, Ohio.
The Zeta chapter currently has 76 members, 37 outgoing and 39 incoming. We have many different activities in which we involve ourselves throughout the year. These include our big brother/sister program which is designed to help incoming freshmen make a smooth transition to college life, our lil' sibs weekend in which college students bring their little brothers and sisters to campus to spend Halloween weekend, and our care package program which helps Muskingum college students relieve stress during final exams.
In addition to our normal activities, we at the Zeta chapter, along with the rest of Muskingum College (that's the college mascot up top), celebrated John Glenn's return to space in October. The chapter donated an item to a time capsule commemorating Glenn's flight and several members assisted at an all night prayer vigil for the astronauts the night before the launch. We all showed our pride and support for one of Muskingum's most famous alumni.
