Founded in 1972, on the campus of the University of Maine at Machias, Psi Delta, an all male chapter, has remained faithful to the principles that it was founded on, Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Always proud of our accomplishments in the area of service, we never forget the friendships we maintain long after we leave the Down East community of Machias, and continue striving to be leaders on, and off campus.
The Active Brothers of Psi Delta Chapter would like to welcome the following people as pledges for our Spring Pledge Class 2009:

Recently the Brothers have been active in many off campus service projects. The Brothers helped build the Lubec Safe Kids Playground in October, 1999. In the springof 1999, the Brothers painted the Milbridge Town Hall, a project that took weeks to complete. In November of 1998, they renovated the Milbridge Municipal Office Building basement. In the spring of 1998 they painted the Milbridge Town Office. In the past the Brothers hauled docks, piled wood, and raked leaves, for Bud Foss, in Machias. In the fall of 1997 the Brothers helped Rev. Bill Wilson at the Jacksonville Methodist Campmeeting, move furniture. They helped him with landscaping and other yardwork. They also help out monthly with the SHARE project at a local church, where they also shovel snow. With their local sister sorority, Kappa Alpha Kappa, they have also helped run beano for local Senior Citizens.
The Brothers have also been active with campus projects. In the fall of 1999 the Brothers helped with "Take Back the Night", and "The Run for Fun". After the Ice Storm of '98 the brothers removed debris from the UMM campus grounds. Numerous truck loads of debris where hauled away. They also helped pull out and put in the docks at Greenland Point Center. With the sisters of Kappa Alpha Kappa they also sponsor a spring and a fall Red Cross Blood Drive.
