| The Linn County I-Club is a division of the National I-Club, which is the University of Iowa Foundation's fund-raising organization for annual contributors to men's and women's athletics. Nationally the I-Club has over 10,000 members representing nearly every state in the nation. Hawkeye fans who contribute $40 or more annually to men's and/or women's athletic programs are members of the I-Club. | ||||
| Through annual giving programs and special-purpose campaigns, the University of Iowa Foundation works to generate private support from alumni and friends. The Foundation staff is dedicated to our mission of maximizing private gift support for The University of Iowa, thus enabling the UI to fulfill its own mission of excellence in education, research, service and athletics. | ||||
| The Linn County I-Club is one of the largest clubs with membership in excess of 1,000 members. The Board works diligently in the support of Iowa athletics and its major efforts are: | ||||
| * Spring Banquet - a banquet featuring head coaches, assistant coaches and staff from the University of Iowa athletic department. | ||||
| * Summer Golf Outing - an afternoon of golf and dinner with Iowa fans, Coaches and U of I athletic staff | ||||
| * Fall luncheons - featuring speakers from the University of Iowa athletic department held on selective Fridays prior to home football games. | ||||
| * Black and Gold Fundraiser - a fundraising event promoting the camaraderie of the Hawkeyes. | ||||
| * Winter Sports Luncheon - featuring coaches from men's and women's basketball and wrestling. | ||||
