Clarke Isaac Hanson was born to Walker and Diana Hanson on November 17, 1980 in Jenks, Oklahoma. He is the oldest of the eight Hanson children, the youngest of which, Zoe, was just born last year. The Hanson children were home schooled by their parents. Ike had his first full-length song written by the time he was eight years old. He took piano lessons with his brothers, but eventually moved to the guitar, which he plays in the band. Isaac sings in the band also, of course, and sings lead in "More Than Anything", "A Minute Without You", and some Christmas songs on Snowed In.
            Isaac is very intelligent and funny. Reserved on stage, Isaac seems a bit introverted and shy, but on backstage videos he comes out as a zany and interesting character. He tends to be very serious and professional. He wears a silver ring on his left hand's middle finger, and until May of this year, was the only member of Hanson able to drive legally.
