I wish to announce my intention to run for president in 2012. I know it is still quite some time away but, there are a few reasons for my decision to wait until then. First and most important is that a person must be 35 in order to run for President under US law as stated in the Constitution. The next is that it will take some time for me to work on my campaign, as I currently have no one working for me.
This means that I have ten years to work on my campaign. At this time I am declaring myself an independent candidate because ten years is a long time and parties tend to change their stands on some of the topics. Also in time I may feel different about some things that are occurring in society that are not present at the current time.
