CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic is a health care discipline which emphasizes the inherent
recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.
The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily
the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship
affects the preservation and restoration of health.
What do chiropractors do!!
Chiropractors remove that which interferes with the body's communication lines
(nerves). The nervous system is that system of the body which is responsible for integrating
all the sensations, emotions, and functions of our bodies. The main center of that system
is the brain which receives all these information and processes them. Then it sends that information down the spinal cord (the main cable). The spinal cord inturn sends these messages to the organs via nerves. The organs use these messages to modify their functions to suit the needs and demands of the whole body. So the whole body can work as one whole, integrated, fully functional unite. In some instances there can be an interferance with this relay system ( termed a SUBLUXATION ).
This interferance with the nervous system causes lack of communication in the whole body. The messages sent from the brain to every organ in the body will be altered in some way or the other. This will cause the organs to work in disorganization. This disorganization means that the body is not working as one system. Also it means that it is not functioning to its full potenial. This causes all kinds of stresses on us and on our health.
The subluxation is the chiropractors main focus. Chiropractors are trained in finding,
and managing the subluxation through the use of chiropractic procedures. We are the only health care practioners who are educated and trained in finding and correcting these interferences in our nervous system.
