The Red Crescent Society in Sekolah Menengah Bantuan St. Joseph (St. Joseph's Secondary School) was first registered under the British Red Cross Society in 1965. From then, there was no looking back as the society strived and grew over the years. Currently, it stands tall among the active societies of Kuching District and this website, which posssibly is the first for a Red Crescent unit in the state, is definite proof of that.
The St. Joseph Red Crescent Youth Unit #3 is one of the many uniformed bodies of the school. With an excellent track record which stretches for over 30 years, the unit has gained reputation and recognition as one of the best societies in the school. Able leadership and stable financial standing, backed by 3 diligent teachers-in-charge, have ensured smooth progression of its administration and activities.
