General Information

"Meucci" Institute is a secondary technical school (specialized in Computer science, Telecommunications and Electrotechnics) which joins ELIS consortium where some European " partner schools " are associated to.

School education programs include:

Biennium - a TWO year course common to every student leaving "Junior high school";
Scientific-tecnological address - a FIVE year specialized course:
Triennium- a THREE year course diversified in three different specializations :

Computer Science (Abacus p.)
Electrotechnics and Automation
Electronic and Telecommunications
Domotics (new)

In Biennium students learn a wide variety of subjects (Religion Education, Italian, History, Geography, Science, English, Phisical Education, Technical Drawing, Economics) concentrating on the basics of Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Scientific-Tecnological address allows the students to attend scientific and technological subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Tecnology and Drawing, Biology, Informatic and Automatic systems.

Attending the three year course (Triennium) students are taught new subjects like Computer Science, Electronics, Systems and Statistics in Abacus plan ; Electrotechnics, Electronics, Automatic Electro Systems, Electro Technologic Drawing and Planning in Electronics and Automation course; Electrotechnics, Electronics, Telecommunications, Electro Technologic Drawing, Planning and Automatic Electro Systems in Electronics and Telecommunications course.
There is also a "Triennium professionale integrated" in Domotics.
At the end of this course all students take a school leaving examination (maturity examination) in order to get a degree which allows them either to start working or continue their studies in a University.

Lessons are held six days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 13:40 p.m. .
Outside the normal time-table there are many activities in which students may take part in:

Additional lessons, drama also in English, sport and so on;
Meetings with experts in business and scientific fields;
Stages (abroad and in Italy) held by Consortium Elis (you can see the site on INTERNET http://www.elis.interbusiness.it);
International meetings ;

Finally "Meucci" Institute is equipped with several up-to-date- scientific and technical laboratories for the different subjects and some sporting facilities.
