Burger SUNRISE BLVD . TRUXEL AVE . ALSO IN
YUCKY DAVIS
- This is what a burger is
all about! All they really serve is burgers, fries, and shakes,
though it is not uncommon to see a long string of cars in the
drive-thru. Most locals know about the "secret" menu
as well, with such varieties to your burger as "animal-style".
Ask for it next time you're there.
-
- Jimboy's
Tacos MIDTOWN
- A Sacramento Original! Jimboy's
started up back in the corner of Denio's Flea Market in Roseville,
and you can find them all over the place now. It's hard to beat
any of their combination plates. They offer all kinds of great
Mexican food.
-
- Jamba
Juice MIDTOWN
- Jamba Juice may be one of
those "Here today, gone tomorrow" places, but it can
really be filling. They combine frozen fruits with yogurt or
other fruit, and make a damn good shake out of it. Great place
to power up for finals.
-
- Gordito
Burrito ON CAMPUS . LA RIVIERA
DR
- Now that they are on campus
in the Union, it's hard to avoid this place. The only problem
may be that they give you too much food. They also have one on
La Riviera (next to Stinger's), which has always been a staple
of many a Sac State student. Along with their big-ass burritos,
thay also have a killer plate of nachos.
-
- 7-11 LA RIVIERA DR . FOLSOM BLVD
- Hey, nachos after a night
of drinking sounds excellent if you live at Rivercrest! 7-11
comes in huge for those that live on or near La Riviera. Grab
a cherry slurpee and go next door to the Bottle Shop and grab
a flask of liquid pleasure - you've got yourself a party.
-
- The Pasty
Shack J ST
- This place is grub! You gotta
check them out! They make these little things called "pasties"
- it's like meat rolled in bread or flour and then cooked in
the oven. Kind of like a pot pie. Definitely worth a try. Just
go down J Street and look for the orange cat in front of the
store.
-
- Taco Loco
J ST
- Best mexican
food ever. They make great Mexican food - pretty cheap price.
It's located on J St, around 23rd St. If you live in Midtown,
you might find this as one of your favorite places to eat.
-
- Kip's
Kabob's
- Great Aussie "kabobs"
- great for a change of pace. Kip himself comes from Sac State.
Stop by and say hello to your fellow Hornet alumni.
-
- Java City
ON CAMPUS
AND EVERY 100 YARDS THEREAFTER
- Stop by and get your morning
fix. Java City has it all for those students that take the unfortunate
choice to take early morning classes. Java City was also started
up by a Sac State alumni.
-
- Jack-In-the-Box
- Jack in the Crack has always
been the best fast food around. Add that to a 24-hour drive-thru,
and you're set when it comes to those midnight cravings.
-
- Taco Bell ON CAMPUS . FOLSOM BLVD . HOWE AVE
- The Bell has always been
a huge hit with college students. When it's 3 a.m., find a sober
driver to roll over to Taco Bell and it's time to grub on those
tacos and Nacho BellGrandes. Yo quiero munchies!
-
- Mickey
D's FAIR OAKS BLVD . FOLSOM BLVD . HOWE
AVE
- Just don't play in the playground
at 4 in the morning (Cops will not be amused). McDonald's comes
in large on those 29 and 39-cent burger days.
-
- Burger
King ON
CAMPUS . FOLSOM BLVD. FAIR OAKS BLVD
- BK has been a staple on campus
for years now. Although the interior of the place looks like
a 1984 movie gone bad (time to remodel or get at least some current
artwork!), it's still a good deal on campus.
-
- Togo's ON CAMPUS . FOLSOM+ALHAMBRA
- Best sammiches around, bar
none. Togo's on campus comes in large. That's all we've got to
say about that.
-
- Subway FOLSOM BLVD . J ST
- 2nd best sammiches around.
As long as you don't mind a "moat" in your bread! Subway
has good sandwiches, but why can't they cut it like a normal
person? Nobody likes holding on to a 1-inch piece of bread at
the top of their sandwich!
