Nebraska PBL Goals
THEME: Paving The Road For The Future
GOAL 1:
Increase Membership
A. Increase state membership by 10%
B. Increase total number of local chapters by two.
C. Increase Professional Membership by 50%
PURPOSE: To Build a Strong Foundation for the continuation of PBL
PLAN OF ACTION:
1. Distribute information about PBL to local chapters (handbooks).
2. Have state officers visit local chapters
3. Offer regular discounts for chapters with greatest increase in members
4. Create a PBL pamphlet
5. Represent PBL to professional organizations
GOAL 2:
Establish Better Communication Links
A. Increase interaction with Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA)
B. Maintain 100% interaction with local chapters
PURPOSE: To increase awareness and motivate others to be more involved
PLAN OF ACTION:
1. Hold individual officer work shops at conferences
2. Visit area chapters(PBL & FBLA)
3. Send information about PBL to FBLA advisors and guidance counselors.
4. Have state- local officer correspondence.
GOAL 3:
Encourage Participation
A. Have 75% of the local chapters participate in statewide
fundraising and earn at least $1,000 for the state treasury
B. Have 50% of the local chapters earn the Excellence Award
PURPOSE: To allow members to get more out of PBL
PLAN OF ACTION:
1. Give a 50% return on state fund-Raisers
2. Offer incentives
3. Have multiple levels included in the Excellence Award
GOAL 4:
Conference Goals
PURPOSE: To expose more members to a wider conference experience
PLAN OF ACTION:
1. More planning time
2. More publicity
3. Offer incentives
GOAL 5:
REVIEW goals
A. Have every chapter participate in the REVIEW this year
B. Have 5% of the local chapters submit "Students of the
Semester" nominations
PURPOSE: To have the REVIEW become a source of communication and a
place for idea exchange
PLAN OF ACTION:
1. Communication with local reporters
2. Have four REVIEWs per year
a. August deadline for September
b. November deadline for December
c. February deadline for March
d. April deadline for May
3. E-Mail other chapters to encourage "Student of the Semester"
applications
