Hi there. This is Brigitte Arduini's web page. I am a senior at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York. My major is Genetics and Development. I plan to go to graduate school, and eventually to teach and do research.

Toward that end, I am doing independent research in Dr. Syed Naqi's lab, in Cornell's Department of Veterinary Immunology and Microbiology. I am studying the genome evolution of avian Infectious Bronchitis Virus after infection of a host.

At the same time, I working on a website for the Field of Veterinary Medicine in Cornell's Graduate school. The field contains several concentrations, in which the faculty members focus their research and teach classes. All of this information, and more, will soon be available on the web!

I really enjoyed spending my summer in Ithaca, both this year and last. The weather is much nicer than during the academic year, the gorges are spectacular, and the volleyball is awesome!

I am also involved in Cornell's Travelers of the Electronic Highway (TEH) program. This is a mandatory workshop for incoming freshmen and transfer students, designed to introduce them to the computing capabilities at their fingertips, and is organized through Cornell Information Technologies. I was an instructor last fall, and I am again this August. TEH is currently in full swing. I really enjoyed teaching, and learning. I have learned a lot about the technology available to me, too. This web page, for example, was begun as an attempt to learn HTML.

My other interests include volleyball, and just about any other sport you can name. I love computers (sometimes), like to draw, and collect dragons.
