My full name is Mohammad Amir Ahmed Khan most of my friends call me Amir Khan. I belong to a Pathan family, the Pathans have no written history but they have thousands of ruins where the carved stones tell their story to anyone who would care to listen."The Pathan", Ghani Khan the greatest Pushtoo Poet asserts, "are rain sown wheat-they all came up on the same day they are all the same!.... But the chief reason why he loves them is because they will wash their face and oil their beard and perfume their locks and put on their best pair of clothes when they go out to fight and die". But I was raised mostly throughout Pakistan, as my father Lt. Col. (R) Sher Ali was a Colonel in the Pakistan Army. |
I did some of schooling in Lawrence College Ghora Gali where we were always told "Never Give In" and Murree Convent School also. I did my Matriculation from Federal Government School Okara Cantonment, by getting first position in the Federal Board Multan Region. After my Secondary School Certificate Exam, I joined Pakistan Air Force in 93rd General Duty Pilot (GDP) Course and was in P.A.F. College Sargodha . I did my FSC (High School Diploma) from PAF College Sargodha and was overall second in 93rd and 38th Engineering courses. I left PAF in my first term at PAF Academy Risalpur.
After that I did my BS in Electrical Engineering from N-W.F.P. University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar with Honors. After my Graduation I moved to US, worked for the US Army as a Data Operator in Fort Knox, Kentucky and then moved to California till then I am working with Qualcomm Inc. at San Diego California as a Systems Engineer on their new Global Communication Project "Globalstar". I also worked with the CDMA System Network Design team as a Senior Engineer for almost 2 years in Ericsson Wireless Inc. Presently I am working with the Mobile Wireless and SS7 Network Design team for Cisco Systems in San Diego. And I completed my MBA in Information Systems Management from University of Redlands in 2000.
