Its a HUGE weekend on the USM campus, and it all starts Thursday, April 15 at 2 PM with Dr. Flemmings Inaguration as the 8th President of the University of Southern Mississippi. The inaguration will be held in the Green House and is open to the public.  For those who can't make it, but would like to listen in, you can hear it  here.

Friday night is the Hall of Fame inductions where such ex-Eagle greats as Clarence Weatherspoon, and Corky Palmer, will be inducted into the Southern Miss Hall of Fame.  After the ceremony the Golden Eagle Baseball team will take the field against South Florida (8:00) at the PETE.

Saturday afternoon, the Golden Eagle Football team will wrap up its Spring Drills with the annual "Black and Gold" game at 2pm at the ROCK.  This is a great chance for you to come see the defending Liberty Bowl Champs begin their next journey.  After the Football game, the Eagle Baseball team will continue its 3 game series with South Florida at 5pm at the PETE.  The series will then conclude Suday at 1pm.

For those who haven't been to campus in a while there are MANY new "attractions" to see.  Signs have been added around the ROCK (Finally got the C-USA champions sign), our New Marquee sign at the corner of Hardy and 49,  is now up and working, and looking SHARP.  Also, perhaps the most important "addition" to campus is the new "Commission of the Future" reports which are out and can be picked up all over campus.

The M-Club and Eagle Club are soon to relase a Commemorative print re-living the 1997 Golden Eagle Football Teams run to the Liberty Bowl.  For more information look Here.  Mr. Hess has done numerous prints of this such, and this is sure to be his Best.
