Introduction

This tutorial is for those who don't have a clue about how to make a 3d world using  Adobe Atmosphere.  Though the Adobe Atmosphere help files are helpful to a point, they assume that the individual user can find his way in the browser to the necessary window and tool by himself.    Hopefully, this tutorial will be detailed enough to get a new user started, but not so detailed that the user will feel insulted about his ability to learn new things.

In ancient times, tutor meant to walk someone through something long enough to begin on their own to learn more advanced things.  It is not the purpose of this tutorial to teach advanced techniques, such as javascript or lighting.  Javascript is an integrated function and is not within the expertise of the author of this tutorial.  In other words, I don't know Jack about javascript.  And, lighting is already covered, in length, in the included help files with the full Adobe Atmosphere installation.

Hopefully, I have covered enough of the beginning steps to creating a world that you will be able to go from there and create your own objects and worlds.  I have tried to provide enough terms and definitions that nothing will confuse the builder who has no experience in 3d object making.  Be sure to read the terms and definitions page if there are any questions about anything and reread anything that you do not get the first time.

If there are any processes that can be performed from within the Atmosphere Builder that I have overlooked, please email me with your questions.  If I can answer them, I will update the website with the information, but if I don't know or the information is too advanced for the purpose of this tutorial, I will tell you so and hopefully refer you to someone who can answer your questions.
