I'm Jen.. obviously! Click here to see a recent photo of me! I'm the blonde one. This was taken at Oklahoma State University at a NASA Educator's Workshop. I got the great opportunity to perform for them!
Speaking of, I love to sing, and I adore music! I started my talents at a young age, thanks to my ever-loving Mom! She's the best! I started piano at age 4, flute in 4th grade, Piccolo in 9th grade, Oboe in 10th grade, many reed and wind instruments in 11th grade, Brass in 12th grade and Violin in College. I had many great teachers along the way, and I thank them! I did find the one thing I love to do more than all of that combined... I love to sing. I was trained in Classical Operatic Singing at the University of La Verne , a small college in Southern California.
Since my days in College, I have built a great repetoire of musical experience:
I am currently in the Education field and work as a teacher in grades K-8. I taught 5th grade in Boise, ID, and loved every second of it! I will likely be teaching again in California for the 1999-2000 school year, and I am taking a well-deserved break from University life.
I graduated from the University of La Verne with a M.Ed. in Education and Bilingual Language Theory and Credentialing ... you can find all that in my Resume if you really want to know that much about me! I will hopefully be pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Educational Technology in the next few years at either Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA; or at USC in Los Angeles, CA. I know both these fine Universities offer excellent Doctoral programs.
Boise , my new hometown is a beautiful place to live, with many opportunities to enjoy the GREAT Outdoors! I have recently renewed my love for downhill skiing, and you can find me in the evenings at Bogus Basin skiing my heart out! Being up at Bogus is like being on top of the word! Boise also boasts the Greenbelt, Boise River, many beautiful parks and places to ride. How could you ask for more?!
Here is a photo of me with my sorority sisters! You can read more about Iota Delta on their web site!
