My Life...the short version.

I am just going to say a little bit about my life and what makes me the individual who I am today.  Currently I am a Senior in the Physical Therapy program at Saint Louis University.  I can't believe that I am a Senior; I am so old!  I am also double majoring in Psychology and will finally be finished with college when I get my Master's in Physical Therapy in January of 2003.  It seems really far away, but I know it will be coming up before I know it.  I am from St. Louis and lived in the same house, in the same room, for all of my life until I moved into the "residence halls" (dorms) at SLU three years ago.  School has been a big focus of my life lately and I sometimes have to get away from "SLU-World" and take a venture into the real world to shop or just relax at home.  When I am not studying, in class, or working, I like to spend my time either relaxing or spending time with my friends. Lately I have even ventured into the world of cross stitching which shocked my friends and into the wonderful world of romance and mystery of Nora Roberts (thanks to Nikki and Alyssa).

My friends are a very important aspect of my life.  I don't know where I would be without girl friends like Nikki and Alyssa.  They are always there for me when I need them, and they always know how to make me smile.  They understand me like no person has ever understood me before.  We have all been together as we are changing and growing into adults ready to face the world.  I couldn't have asked for anyone better to go through college with than these two girls!  The boys as I affectionately call them, are unbelievable as well.  Derek, Niels, Jason, Brian, and Bryan complete the boy group and make all of our weekends a good time.  Josh was one of the boys too, but he moved away from us.  : (  We miss you Josh!  I can't even count how many times we have spent the evening sitting in the boy's apartment.  It is just kinda nice to have friends that you can just say anything to and know that they will understand.

I am an only child, but I am not spoiled like most people usually assume after discovering that fact.  My mom works for a data processing company and my dad works for South Western Bell.  My parents have taught me a lot about life and have had an invaluable influence on my life.  They have always been there for me and for that I am eternally grateful.   I also have a dog named Brandy, but I have never owned a cat.  I would say that I am more of a "dog type of person", but lately I have felt more attached to my boyfriend's cat, Cozmo.  I have many cousins, aunts, and uncles who live in town.  All four of my grandparents are also living it up in good ol' St. Louis.  I don't see my family as often as I probably should, but I do love them very much and wish that I could do more things with them.

I danced for 16 years.  I took tap, ballet, jazz, modern, and poms at Motion Express.  I also took acrobatics and sports acrobatics (which is hard to explain...so I won't get into it) for about 13 years.  My years at the studio definately had an influence on me and made me into the detalied-oriented, hard working person that I am today.  I spent so many hours in that studio or in the gym with other girls that I will never forget.  Cyndi, Katie, and I spent so much time together that I feel more like they were my sisters instead of my dance/acro partners.  Even when I see them now or talk to them, it seems like no time has really passes and we can just pick up right where we left off.  It is hard to explain, but I am grateful for the relationship that I share with them.

With regards to my love life, I am definately taken!  I have been with my boyfriend, John, for over two years now (June 5th) now, but it seems like I have known him forever.  We have been through a lot together over this short amount of time.  I just know that he is the one for me.  I love him with all of my heart and I know that he feels the same.  Without him, I don't know what I would do.

This is just a short overview of my life and some of the important people in it.  I hope that you enjoyed reading this and have gotten a better understanding of what I am all about.
