I had one of the best time in my life with this club. Well, the training was hard, but all of my friends there were so much fun. We even 'renamed' our club/activity: "FUN AIKIDO"
I was the membership coordinator for the dojo from 1994 to 1996. That was the best time since almost all of my friends were in the organization's chart. From the club's president to vice president; from the club secretary to membership coordinator, to event coordinator to equipments; it was all filled by the Fun Aikido people. But I don't think our instructors were happy having these bunch of rebels.

I joined Trisakti Aiki Club until 1997. Then I had to leaved Jakarta to continue my study in US.
However, I cannot stay away from aikido, too long. After done with school in Whitewater and moved to Madison, Wisconsin; I joined the University of Wisconsin - Madison Aikido Club. My instructor there was Sam Bonilla. After trained for a year at the UW Club, I moved to a different dojo in town, called the Aikido of Madison. The two head instructors/owners are John Smith sensei (6th Dan) and Robyn sensei (5th Dan).
They are such cool people. Plus they make aikido seems like a fun and enjoyable activity. Well, actually Aikido is such a fine and enjoyable martial art.
It is soft and gentle and doesn't required too much power and muscles. But, don't be deceived by it's beautiful moves. They are also very lethal.
But Aikido is all about harmony. In conclusion, Aikido is a very cool art.
