About Me

I hail from the beautiful island of Barbados (Gem of the Caribbean), but now I reside in the USA. I'm presently attending college and majoring in Spanish, but I'm also a premed student. I'm looking forward to becoming a pediatrician in about....10 years or so...:-)

My Interests

What do I like to do? Well many different things. I like to draw, right now I'm into pastels and portraits. I also love to read, I like authors like Stephen King, and Toni Morrisson. Generally I like to read just about anything. I also love to go to the movies. I just recently saw the movie Boys Don't Cry and I have to say that it is an excellent film. Going out with my friends is also something that I do for fun. We go to parties or clubs or the movies or out to eat etc.
When I'm not doing any of these things you might find me writing poetry or a short story, perhaps I will be crocheting a hat. I am also involved in the theatre. I'm in an on campus theatre group and their Improv comedy group. I love laughing and making others laugh.
When I listen to music, I listen to almost anything, but my very favourite music has to be reggae and calypso music (Caribbean). I can't forget my roots you know. My favourite artists are, in no particular order: Bob Marley, Garnett Silk, Beres Hammond, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and most recently Macy Gray and Angie Stone. Of course I can't forget my calypso artists like Madd, Square One and Krosfyah. On the rock and alternative side, I like Rage Against the Machine, Alanis Morrisette and various other artists. In terms of rap and hip hop, I like DMX, Eve and others.
