Welcome to the Home of 2S06B!
This is the official webpage for 2S06B, Class of 1997.
Looks like our fears were unfounded. All of us are still as unwanted as ever... :( (With the exception of Yanzong and Huili, of course.) Doesn't matter, spinsterhood and bachelorship are too valuable to give up! Anyway since the guys left Army, we are not meeting up as much as before. Perhaps we have more interesting lives in Uni? Alas not for me... The beginning of the new Millenium. Let's hope we have more time to get together.
All of these to try and keep the class alive. At least in the few core people who are still with us. Yet we will be facing the greatest challenge. The guys ill be going to Uni and are expected to be very distracted. Some of the girls are saying that once we get into U, we will begin to ignore them (not that I won't be glad to). Anyway it is quite obvious they have no faith in us, but we will show 'em, right guys?
Anyway we certainly had a flurry of activities over the past half a year. A bright spark ignited in somebody who suggested we go overseas for once. Eventually 7 of us went to Kuala Lumpur after Christmas 1999. It was a pretty different feeling in general, rather than going for class outings in Singapore where we more usually end up loitering around aimlessly. After this trip, we even went kayaking at ECP, where stupid Porky lost his specs. And followed by a series of birthday celebrations, including Keng Kiat's one where we went to see A-gua (Yanzong's 'sisters) at Changi Village. Suddenly we were together a lot. Perhaps it is the ORD mood?
Our school is starting soon, after 3 long years. And people like Huili and Huiyi are in their final year. Hopefully we can enjoy the next few years like we did in NS. (Errrrr......)
Let's look back on the history of this Website: the origins, the evolution of the site. The site started somewhere in 1998 when Websites are fashionable. The idea was conceived and implemented by CT Rep, Lai Songhai. He chose Geocities as the host (which turns out to be quite a dreadful error), and started the site. He did a pretty good job considering his resources. In fact he had only about 5 photos in digital form. That was the origin of the Website.
Then Ang Huili came along and did the first revamp of the Website. She thought a website should be cute and her concept of cute was unfortunately, Hello Kitty and Looney Tunes. And if you remember the painful memories, she used a 'cute' wallpaper and splashed 'cute' icon all over the place. In summary, she did an absolutely horrid thing to the site.
Then Jianglian came along and did a 3rd revamp (thank goodness!) Like an angel thundering from the heavens, she braved the visual torture and tear down all the 'cute' shit. Right now, we must thank her from the bottom of our hearts for freeing us from the blasphemy..... She managed to get more photos on to the site and added the sections that you see today. All in all, it was a great effort in the face of the obstacles set up by Huili.
Finally, the fourth and present website. It was not easy to do the site due to lack of content. There wasn't much of interest to write about the class. Neither were there much photographs either. Anyway we made used of what we had, and voila!
