There are several new things going on that I would like to include on this webpage...please be patient as I update them!

This is Akiiki when she was just a kitten next to her tiny scratching post...

    I got a cat last year in August when I returned from Africa!  I named her Akiiki, which means "Princess" in the Runyoro language of Uganda, Africa.  The children in Africa gave me that pet name as a form of respect, and I thought it would be a great name for a kitten!
    She was born at the beginning of July, about the same time I left for Africa!  She is precious.  She is very loveable and well-behaved....just the kind of cat everybody wants!

This is me and Akiiki when she was still a small kitten...if only they could stay that small!

  This past August, I purchased my very first home!  It was an exciting (and scary!) experience. I am enjoying decorating, painting, and working in the yard!
