A Closing Note…

Hi, Everyone!

I just wanted to put into writing what I said at the end of our "session" today (Friday, December 10) --- you folks have been an absolute delight to work with over the last three semesters.

You have been enthusiastic and responsive, and have worked hard; you should be very proud of all your efforts. I hope that you have learned a lot, in addition to having had fun with the lighter moments! ;-) The "legacy" that Dr. Howard and I hope you will take with you is that, no matter what roads you follow in life, you will always have an appreciation for the influence that science has in all aspects of our lives.

In closing, I’m going to pass along a little "testimonial". Life isn’t about getting all the answers right; it’s about always asking the questions. NEVER stop asking questions; that’s what makes life so interesting. When you don’t understand something, ask questions! When you see injustices being done, ask questions! When you feel anger or hate… don’t act hastily; ask questions! As long as you ask questions, you are growing and seeing hope… and never closing the door on anything or anyone. Always remember that God has charged each of us to be a steward of all His creations, be it an endangered species… or cleaning up our world… or caring for our fellow human family.

It has been a joy and a pleasure working (and playing!) with you. God bless you and may you have a peaceful and joyous Christmas.

Fondly, Carolee
