AIT was the brainchild of Gen B C Joshi.He realised the problem faced by the wards of the Army Personnel who had to keep on changing their schools as their parents got posted to different stations.Thus on 14 Aug 1994 our first Batch joined AIT and on 24 Feb 1995 it was inaugrated by Gen S Roy Chaudhry.
Within a short span of 4 years AIT has carved a niche of its own.In such a short duration we have produced such a good result ( not only in Academics , but also in Co-curricular Activities ) that we are ranked amongst the top colleges in Pune.We have among the best staff with us and backed with such well equipped Labs it is no wonder why our students are excelling in every field in the industry.So good is our reputation in the industry that inspite of our first batch passing out in July 1998 ,our placements rank second out of about a dozen Engg. colleges under Pune University.
