Once upon a time, a young boy was playing with his Grandfather and he stumbled on two of his grandpa's most cherished possessions - a watch and a compass. The boy requested his grandpa to give him both of them. His grandpa told him , " Son ,I give them to you the day you understand their importance in life." The youngster inquired as to what could be the importance of the two rather ordinary possessions. The old man told him , " Son , a man should learn two things from them : first, the compass. Whether you throw it up or down, turn it left or right it humbly keeps pointing towards north. Similarly, a man should decide his direction and then, come what may, he should not waver from his path . Secondly , like a clock he should move on and on without stopping. Only then will success follow him wherever he goes."
Whether the boy got the essence of his grandfather's homily or not is not known but the gist of the story was certainly absorbed by the MOVERS & SHAKERS of the AIT ELECTRONICS & TELECOM DEPARTMENT. Making a humble beginning in 1994 within a span of less than five years the Department has already seen University toppers in Mithun Chandran and Baljit Singh and many more to come. Not to mention the erection of modern well equipped labs.
If the credit for so much success goes to someone it is the Faculty of our beloved E&TC Dept . The hard work of the faculty was duly complemented by support from the management and enthusiasm of the students.
If the classical approach followed by Prof. Bindale keeps alive the spirit of electronics the modern approach of Prof. Nanivadekar teaches a student how his work will be evaluated in the Industry. The drive of Lab Coordinator Mr. Patare infuses an infectious spirit to perform the practicals .
In short, the E&TC family has it all what it takes to achieve success and God willing we will achieve it as many times to be remembered not for success but for standardizing it.
