WE'RE BACK IN KUCHING!!!! This morning, Vui Tze, Kim Sung, Fui San, Linda & I boarded the 5:40am flight back to good old Kuching from KL via KLIA. We spent the night at the new airport. What an experience. We got bored of the airport after 2 hours and decided to settle down at the waiting area and sleep. In my opinion, the new airport really lacks in a few basic facilities eg the flat conveyer belts as can be found in Singapore's Changi Airport, duty free shops in the waiting area in Level 4 and 24 hours shops that sell reasonably priced goods. Currently the goods sold are 100%+ more expensive than those sold in town.
It's nice to be back after 1 month in UPM Serdang. Besides having water problem, Serdang also has hygienic problems. Water is such a problem there that going to the loo and bathing is such a big fuss. To make it worse, the wheather there is scorching hot because trees are scarce in Serdang.
Boy, it's really GRRREEEATTTT to be home.

This morning, my bicycle's back wheel was stolen, but the thief was very nice and kind. He left me an old set of wheels to replace the one he took from me. However, the rim of the wheel he left me was broken and I had to spend US$31.00 to fix it!!!
(I live in a black neighborhood and the security here is not very good. It's a tough neighborhood. I've seen the police search the apartments around mine twice. They caught someone with bags of marijuana on the Circle K (like 7-eleven) two blocks away from me last month.)

One of Louisiana State University's football player committed suicide last night. He shot his head with a gun in his car. Football players over here are very popular and respected people because LSU's football team is one of the top in the nation. So this is hot news. Football season is about to begin here, the school's stadium can seat 87,000 people after expansion, bigger than the Shah Alam Stadium, I think.

Yesterday morning, I went to an elementary school in Denham Spring, a small town near here for my Chemistry project. We demonstrated an experiment making rubber ball for the first grader. It was really fun!! The kids were real cute and playful. The town looked like something from the movies, with only a few rows of shops in the middle of the highway, but the class was real good, with a new computer, tv, video and a young beautiful teacher.
