I completed my PhD. in Water Resources at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, of the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 2002. I earned my Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with First class honour from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1996. I am an old boy of St'Josephs College Trincomalee, Eastern Province of Sri Lanka from 1978 to 1989.
Uma is a Water Engineering Specialist with the Environmental Engineering Division of CPG Consultants Pte Ltd and is responsible for handling the water engineering projects. Uma has around 7 years of experience in Hydrology, Hydraulics and Water Resources Management. His major field of consultation expertise are in Catchment Modelling Systems, Stormwater/Sewerwater System Analysis and Design, Water Quality Modelling of Stormwater Systems, Stormwater Management, GIS Application in Water Resources, Water Resources Management, Hydrology and related processes and in Hydroinformatics. Uma has presented and published a number of papers in esteemed international conferences and has made a substantial scientific contribution to the integration of Hydroinformatics in Catchment Modelling Systems towards a more robust catchment prediction, through his PhD.
