Thursday

We went to the “Toll” office today trying to find out the procedure etc. to bring the Audi to Norway . Kjetil’s dad gave us a ride. Then we went downtown and Kjetil bought Ecco shoes that he had actually bought next to Ikea the day before but he picked and paid for his shoes at the mall downtown so he could buy them tax free.

Then we bought alcohol for the party that evening. One can buy beer at a grocery store here but if you want wine, liquor etc. there is only one store that sells it and it is a Monopoly. There were a lot of people there as it was 16th of May, the day before 17th which is the Norwegian constitutional day.

We dropped all our stuff at Kristina’s place, Kenneth’s sister and Kjetil’s friend. We then went to the school where I signed up for a Norwegian course and I will start in January to learn Norwegian.

Then, we went to the football/soccer game between Brann and Bryne. Brann is the Bergen soccer team and people idolize it. There were 18,731 people at the stadium. We took the bus to the stadium with the crazy fans. The bus was packed and people were singing and plainly just crazy. The game was fun. I started clapping once when the other team scored because I thought it was a great goal and all our friends who had met us there were appalled and mortified and pretended not to know me. hehe.

The other team won 2-1 and Brann lost. It was a good game though.

Then we all walked to Kristina’s place and partied. We had a great time. I got to know his friends more and we had a blast. Later we went to a bar and danced some and later ate rullekebabs and then took a cab home and got home around 4:00 a.m.
