![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We have been out of the College of Medicine for more than 5 years now. We have dispersed all over our archipelago and in foreign lands in pursuit of our goals. During this time, many of us have simply lost contact with each other. Its not because we have forgotten, but more likely because of the distance that now separates us, the rigors of residencies/fellowships and because many of us have our own families now.
Though we do not claim to be a "perfect" class, we've managed to
bring out a sense of togetherness during the five years that we spent at
the College of Medicine. We've had our share of ups and downs, divisions
(polarity as we frequently refer to it), in-fighting and nonchalance from
some. Yet, when the class needed to act as a class, we closed ranks
when it counted the most. When six of our classmates were threatened with
expulsion by the administration because of the NMAT controversy, majority
of us showed our support for our six classmates by defying the boycott
of classes proposed by then Dean Reyes. We rallied behind them and
attended our lectures/rotations, even though this was the unpopular move
then. The six in fact legally won that battle and eventually graduated.
The college of medicine was never the same since then, as major policy
changes followed. Win or lose, though, that collective defiance we showed
proved that Class 92 had become a family.
