and Darren Brown of things we can not gloat about. Don't ask.)
What's that music you hear coming from over in Showcase Plaza? I do believe it's the Electric Slide, one of the unofficial theme songs of the Fellowship Ambassador program (whether I like it or not). For those on the Ambassador Rotation, the Junkanoo was a nice break from walking the promenade and quite often fun, depending on who was performing. The ambassadors would typically stop by for two or three of the four daily shows to dance to the music and encourage the guests to join in. While some of the Fellowship could dance well, I usually looked so goofy that the guests would think "I couldn't look any worse than that guy so I might as well try it". I guess that's a way of encouraging interaction too. The stars of the show include Lyma Dunbar, Victor Perelion, Rohan Reid, and about a zillion South Americans in mobs referred to as "tour groups". We did them all, the Dollar Wine, a conga line, and yes, we even swung our engines (much to the delight of Paula). We heard about that damn "Shy Guy" a couple hundred times and did the Macarena against our will. On cold days in the Winter, it was a good way to warm up while on hot days in the Summer it was nearly enough to make you pass out. Have a look at what we did. | ![]() |
