Running Through America...

Hello there!  I am Jenniferlyn Warstler and this page is about my biggest endeavor to date... my goal is to run 50 marathons in 50 states and raise $250,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation of America by the time I am 35... 8 years away!

My Story... How did it all begin you ask? Well...

Half Marathons To Date

I started running in 2003, training for the Bayshore Marathon in Traverse City, MI. for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Michigan's Team in Training marathon training program.  I raised $1,500.00 for the society, and ran in my first marathon (I have since ran in 1 other - the Flying Pig Marathon in 2004.) Through a personal journey, I have decided to raise $5,000 for each half marathon I will run in .  I would like to run in 50 marathons in 50 states by the time I am 35.  That will give me 8 years to raise the money (all of which will go to the EFA, none of which goes to me!)  and complete my hefty mission. I am in training to run the Rock 'n' Roll half marathon again, this time with my boyfriend Mike.  This will be his secon dhalf marathon, the first being the Detroit Free Press Half marathon in 2005. After running in this past year's Detroit Free Press Half marathon, we sort of stopped running due to so many things going on in our lives: college graduation, moving, new jobs for each of us, and the crazyness of the holidays.  I have decided to get back into running seriously, and thsi goal is helping me to stay motivated!  Should you like to learn more about my mission, you can go to my webpage at the EFA and donate through there should you choose to donate.  If not, please take the time to look at the page and see why I am doing this.
