The Brothers Who Are Not Here
For all fraternity matters, the brothers should note that "The Brothers Who Are Not Here" refers to all the men and women who have come before us and given their lives or worse so that we may live free.
As brothers in arms no one knows better the sacrifices made by our brothers and sisters in the defense of our nation, freedoms, and our beliefs.
All official functions shall begin with a moment of silence in remembrance of these fallen heroes.
Whenever two or more brothers get together at such a time as appropriate to perform a toast, a toast should be offered. The toast is as follows: One brother will raise his drink proclaiming "To the brothers who are not here." all brothers in attendance will reply "To the brothers."
IT IS THE SOLDIER...
It is the soldier, not
the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the soldier who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.
