Blessed are the War Mongers

For one time to many, I was confronted with bumper sticker extolling a particular quote from the book of Mathew "Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God".   In a very crazy world I firmly believe to many people are not aware of exactly who the peacemakers are.

Politicians and diplomats have had little do with achieving true piece.  Civil protesters entertaining themselves with the freedom of speech paid for with the blood of soldiers do not give us lasting security.   The reality of life is that  peace has been achieved by the military following a just course.

It is for this reason I prefer the term blessed are the War Mongers.  What those who chose to hide their heads from the reality of life may look at those who have given us the freedom we enjoy.
