all about mum
I was born Marie Anne Smith, at Rutherglen maternity hospital glasgow on January 12th 1981, to Anne Marie and Raymond Smith. I was brought up in Ruchazie, and attended St philips primary school and st andrews secondary school. I left school at 15 but not being able to hack it in the world of full time employment or on the dole..i quickly got my butt back to school where i passed my 4 higher exams and went on to Stirling university. I met my soul mate Gary February 1998 two weeks before valentines day, and have been happily with him ever since. I left Stirling university when heavily pregnant with my first daughter and decided to apply for a place at Glasgow caledonian university when she was 13 months old, i started off studying computer science but transferred to reading for a social science degree which i love, as it combines, psychology, sociology (no young ones jokes please),economics, history, languages and politics. I'm not sure which area i'll specialise in as i'm enjoying all six areas at the moment. We recently added to our family with our beautiful second daughter Carly, who was born at home, a huge 9lb 3oz without a stitch or even a graze to complain about. I have two brothers Leon (elder) and Darren (younger), 2 nieces Lauren and Megan, and a new nephew Nathan, who is also my godson. I am passionate about my daughters, my fiance', birth choice, breastfeeding, positive attachment parenting, glasgow and of course i'm addicted to the net.
