On January 13, 1913, on the campus of Howard University, 22 intelligent and ambitious women had a vision, one that fostered the ideals of sisterhood, scholarship and service-Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.- a non-profit organization of women committed to public service.

In its eight decades of existence, DELTA SIGMA THETA has increased its numbers to over 200,000 with membership stretching around the globe. From its humble beginnings, Delta has continued to offer the service of its dedicated members for the improvement of the human race.
