Course Description:

The purpose of the course is to provide pharmacy students with a directed exposure and initial participation in pharmaceutical care in order to develop pharmacy practice skills and professionalization.

Each student will attend 4 weekly sessions to different sites.
Course Schedule:

Students must attend two orientation sessions. From then on, all students will be assigned and grouped into different sites. Each student must attend 4 weekly sessions at their given site. Dates and times will also be given to each student.

Orientation 1 - Tues. 9/2/03 (3pm GRI C)
Orientation 2 - Tues 9/9/03  (3pm GRI C)
Grading: Pass/Fail course

In order to attain a satisfactory passing grade, all sessions must be attended and the following assignments must be completed.


5 patient medical history reviews
4 patient chart reviews
4 laboratory data collections
3 problem lists
1 therapeutic and monitoring plans
1 assessment of patient-specific outcomes
