Dear HSVVN Friends,

As you already knew flood has once again swept through our
motherland VN causing a huge damage to the infrastucture
and killing our peoples.

Even though, I am very busy with works at the moment, I still can not
sit here and fold my arms across my chest and see our peoples dying from
diseases, homelessness, starvation etc. and not help or not even try to help.
I've just established the contact with British Red Cross HQ in London,
and agreed to be the coordinator for this campaign
as I did 2 years ago in Warwick University.

MESSAGE FROM THE RED CROSS I quote:

"John Geoghegan, head of delegation for the International Federation of
Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Vietnam, said relief efforts
would have to be quick.

``It's going to close up again. The
weather forecasts are pretty poor,'' he told Reuters.

The Red Cross would launch an international appeal later Friday for an
initial $3 million in aid, Geoghegan added."

Please and please come together and give the British Red Cross a hand.
