At
the rate that chip companies currently spit out
new chips, it's common knowledge that when you buy a new
computer, the minute you walk out the door, your computer is obsolete.
Currently, home computers go up to 700 MHz
(this will undoubtedly have changed
when you actually see this). I wonder what will happen when they get to
the Pentium III 1000...
will we have to worry about Y1K? by the way, when I last updated this, Intel and AMD had already developed this chip and was planning to release it later this year, in the fall, so I guess we'll find out sooner rather than later! hehehe |
