The California State University at Fresno (CSUF) Dairy Club provides an opportunity for all interested CSFU students to be involved in activities which promote the dairy industry, as well as improve and develop the dairy program at CSFU. The Dairy Club gives students experience and knowledge in all aspects of the diary industry. The Club also gives students a chance to meet people in the industry, make new friends, and meet propective employers. The Club places a major emphis on providing educational opportunities for area youth interested in the dairy industries. Activities include exhibiting cattle at shows, youth educational programs, 4-H, Junior College and FFA Field Days, Christmas on the Farm, Vintage days, CSFU Dairy Field Day, BBQ's and many other activites. The Dairy Club promotes our dairy judging team as well as having a strong ofice team. The CSFU Dairy Club was selected for the Outstanding Club Award for the 1996-1997 school year. The associate professor of dairy science, Dr. Jon Robinson, has brought much needed changes within the dairy science department. He has brought the combination of academic and practical experience which has given the dairy science program new heights and expectations. Dr. Robinson received his B.S. degree in animal science at UNLV where he also obtained his Master's Degree in Reproductive Physiology. Later he went on and received a Doctorate in Animal Physiology at the University of Arizona. He has been working in the dairy industry for years and now will provide Fresno students with industry knowledge.

The Dairy Club's most recent major activity was showing heifers at the Big Fresno Fair. All members of the team placed, including first through fifth places in the Collegiate Dairy Showmanship division.
