The ESL Internet Group pen-friends, teachers, and homepages lists allow our members to keep in contact and to make new friends in many parts of the world (over 100 countries registered - and growing). If you are a student or just a visitor looking for pen-friends you are welcome to join the group. The aims of the ESL Internet Group are to promote international friendship, and to enhance Second and Foreign Language Learning (our Pen-friends speak many languages) by utilizing technology to facilitate and stimulate communication (while having fun!). Our Let's Learn English - Chat channel is another way you can practice your English and meet new friends. You can arrange Chat Room meetings, find pen-friends in other schools, and check for news on our Teachers' Corner Message Board. If you are a teacher of any language you will probably be able to find suitable contacts in the * pen-friends * e-mail lists (by country) to provide your students with some genuine communication skills practice. You can also use these contacts to set communication assignments. If you are relatively new to using technology for language teaching you may find these Language Technology pages helpful. However, they have been created to help provide some "appropriate application of technology basics" for Southeast Asia and other Developing Countries. We have received some interesting remarks for around the world and we welcome your comments.
