I was born and grew up in Murphy, North Carolina.  I graduated from Western Carolina University  in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education in Mathematics and Science.  I am currently seeking a Masters degree in Middle grades education.

I have been teaching 7th grade science at Murphy Middle School for the past two years.  My husband of six years, Jeremey Ledford is a trooper with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.  I also have a beautiful 11 month old daughter--Madison Mae Ledford.
