Control system engineering division or frequently called as control engineering division is a part of system science. Control system engineering is found under electrical engineering depatrment, so that it's applications are most directed to electrical engineering field. But there is still a chance for any student who is interested to another field beyond electrical engineering for applying it on his field. Control system engineering, that is one division at electrical engineering department, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya Indonesia, is expected to yield engineers who have ability on control techniques with electrical engineering background. Students of control system engineering would learn about mathematic models, system dinamics, controler tools and components, computer usages, design and analisys on system models, optimal control, digital control, distributed control, intelligent control, robotics, etc. Curriculum of control system engineering division is basically divided into two kinds of courses: compulsery courses that must be taken by control system engineering students, and elective courses that could be choosen to support knowledges that have been learned by the students.
Elective courses are divided into two kinds of expertise field that shows the students' interest. These kinds of expertise course are based on the differences of where the discipline will be applied. For the students who are interested on electro-mechanic techniques, it is suggested to elect specialization of control engineering by taking the courses with (#) sign. And for students who tend to be interested on nonelectro-mechanics, as sosio-economics, it is suggested to elect specialization of system engineering by taking the courses with (+) sign.
