-Currently monitor crustal deformation and earthquake activity in and around Long Valley Caldera.
-Operate and maintain a network of geophysical instruments, including a two-color laser electronic distance measurer, GPS recievers, strainmeters, tiltmeters, and seismometers.
-Assist in monitoring carbon dioxide flux in tree kill areas near Mammoth Mountain.

-Supervised and motivated groups of up to 50 people on multi-day whitewater trips.

-Actively involved in all aspects of production geology from a sediment-hosted, disseminated gold deposit with reserves exceeding five million ounces.
-Performed ore-control duties including collection of geologic data through blasthole mapping and computer-aided kriging to delineate ore, waste, and potentially acid-generating waste.
-Updated a model of lithology, alteration, and structure in the Post and Goldbug deposits on Newmont's UNIX-based 3D computer modelling system.
-Monitored drill rigs and performed geotechnical logging of core associated with the development drilling of the Goldbug deposit.
-Performed data entry duties including digitization of field mapping, spreadsheet management, and preparation of drill-hole data for entry into Newmont's geologic model.
