Paris '98

A column located in Place de la Bastille. I think Paris has at least ten such columns scattered throughout the city. A scene of the city street taken from Rue St. Antoine. The garden inside Place de Vosges, which has the shape of a perfect square. The statue in the middle is Louis XIII.

A chruch-like building on Rue St. Antoine. A view of the Ile St-Louis island outside the Hôtel de Ville. The river in the photo is the one that flows through the heart of Paris---La Seine. The front view of Conciegerie, which is a wing of the Palais de Justice. The building was used as a prison during the French revolution.

The front view of Conciegerie, which is a wing of the Palais de Justice. The building was used as a prison during the French revolution. Just like a web site, the Notre-Dame is also being renovated. Statues on the top of Notre-Dame. The Ile St-Louis island is also visible in the background.

Originally built in fulfilment of a vow made by Louis XV, Panthéon was then used for the burial of some famous French Orsay Museum, which is sometimes said to be the most beautiful museum in Europe, holds more than 4000 works including paintings, sculptures, drawings and furniture. An inside view of the Orsay Museum.

A night view of the Eiffel Tower. The exposure of my camera cannot be altered, and thus the bad photo quality. A night view of the most famous street in Paris--Champs Elysées, facing the direction of the Arc de Triomphe. You probably cannot see the Arc because of the bad photo quality. A daytime view of Champs Elysées, facing the direction of the Louvre Museum.

The spacious sidewalk of Champs Elysées. Church 'Sacre Coeur' A gathering place near Sacre Coeur

The glass pyramid with the Louvre Museum in the background. A photo of myself standing in front of the glass pyramid of the Louvre Museum. The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel in front of the glass pyramid.

The famous Arc de Triomphe, which is much bigger than the previous one. The Grande Arche is one of the futuristic buildings in La Défense, a business area just west of Paris. A photo of myself standing in front of the Versailles Palace, the resident of the last few French kings.

The root of a chapel inside the Versailles Palace. You probably cannot see the paintings clearly. Hall of Mirrors in the Versailles Palace.
