Welcome to the Neighborhood House Charter School located in Dorchester, MA. My name is Darol Ware and I am an Educational Technology Specialist. I have been teaching and/or working with technology for close to a decade.
I believe technology can be a powerful tool for teaching; I also see it as a powerful tool for social inclusion. Today, millions of people around the world have unfiltered access to a medium that literally spans the globe. The truth is no longer hard to find. All you have to do is look for it. Just be sure to scrutinize the source and to never be satisfied with one opinion.
Curriculum
The theme of this year's technology curriculum is Cyber Safety! Much of what we do and learn involves accessing the Internet. To start the year off right, I am asking each student to visit PBS kids and apply for his/her Internet Driving License. Let's get started by visiting the following link:
